
Susan Pickover is a seasoned artist and designer with nearly two decades of experience in the fashion industry. Known for her vibrant palette, trend-savvy designs, and boundless creativity, she is one of today's most knowledgeable talents.
A proud New Jersey native, Susan graduated from Rutgers University in 1994, majoring in Women's Studies, Cinema Studies, and a minor in Art History. Her journey into visual storytelling began in New York City, where she honed her skills as a producer in the film industry, specializing in commercials and documentaries.
In 2001, fueled by a passion for textile design, Susan embarked on a new chapter, earning a Surface and Textile Degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Since then, she has made waves as a graphic and textile artist, art director, consultant, project manager, and tee shirt guru.
Beyond her design endeavors, Susan has a knack for comedy, cultivated through training at The Upright Citizen's Brigade and The Magnet Theater. This comedic background infuses her design work with a unique sense of humor and freshness.
In 2013, Susan and her husband, a talented computer animator, relocated to the vibrant city of Austin, TX, where she continues to freelance in graphic and textile design for clients nationwide. Susan indulges her passion for handcrafted items, blending her love for textiles and vintage aesthetics into her handmade creations. Now, she embraces a new artistic journey, collaborating with her 7-year-old daughter to create art that inspires and delights.
